Jeep Wrangler repair and servicing
The Jeep Wrangler is a vehicle we work on regularly. This page covers what we usually find on this model, the repairs we carry out for it, and how the work is handled.
Body-on-frame and crossover SUVs carry their weight high, so suspension bushes, ball joints and dampers wear before anything else and a small amount of play changes the way the vehicle tracks at speed.
Repairs we carry out on the Wrangler
- Suspension Repair — Full diagnosis and repair of the suspension system — springs, dampers, bushes, arms and joints — measured against tolerance before anything is replaced.
- Shock Absorber Replacement — Testing and replacement of shock absorbers and strut assemblies, with damping matched to how the vehicle is actually used.
- Coil Spring Installation & Ground Clearance — Replacement and upgrade of coil springs, including safe ground-clearance increases that keep geometry, driveshaft angles and braking behaviour correct.
- Engine Overhaul — Strip, measure, machine where necessary and rebuild — carried out only after testing proves the engine actually needs internal work.
- Engine & Vehicle Diagnostics — Computerised scanning combined with live-data analysis and physical testing, so the fault is proven before any part is bought.
- Transmission & Gearbox Repair — Diagnosis, repair, overhaul and installation of automatic and manual transmissions, including clutch and mounting work.
- Brake Repair & Servicing — Brake inspection, pad and disc replacement, caliper servicing and ABS fault diagnosis.
- Steering Repair & Wheel Alignment — Steering component repair and four-wheel alignment, carried out after worn parts are corrected rather than before.
- Auto Electrical & Wiring Repair — Tracing and repairing electrical faults — charging, starting, lighting, wiring harness damage and intermittent faults.
- Air Conditioning Service — Air-conditioning diagnosis, leak detection, regassing and compressor work.
- Cooling System & Overheating Repair — Radiator, water pump, thermostat and head-gasket-related overheating diagnosis and repair.
- Exhaust & Muffler Repair — Exhaust system repair, muffler replacement and catalytic converter work.
- Car Tracker & Alarm Installation — Discreet fitting of vehicle tracking units and alarm systems with clean, tested wiring.

How we approach work on this model
Every Wrangler that comes in is road tested with the owner's complaint written down as reported, then inspected on the lift before anything is quoted.
Components are measured against tolerance. If a part is within specification we say so and leave it alone, even where replacing it would have been the easier sale.
About the workshop
Mr Valentinus Auto Care Ltd has operated from Nairobi CBD, Kirinyaga Road, behind Eagle Towers since 2010. Every job starts with a road test and inspection, is quoted in writing with labour and parts listed separately, and is only carried out after you approve the quotation.
Parts are supplied as part of the work we carry out so that we remain accountable for both the component and the fitting.

Frequently asked
Do you service the Wrangler regularly?
Yes. It is one of the models we handle often, which is why it has its own page rather than being covered only under Jeep.
Do I need an appointment?
Booking is better. Call +254796479403 and we will confirm a slot and, where a part is likely to be needed, its availability.
