What Volkswagen owners usually come in for
Small hatchbacks are used almost entirely in traffic, so clutch, cooling, engine mountings and front suspension bushes are the components that actually wear out.
Saloons are the least tolerant of pothole damage because of their lower ride height. Bushes, front lower arms and steering components take the first hit.
Body-on-frame and crossover SUVs carry their weight high, so suspension bushes, ball joints and dampers wear before anything else and a small amount of play changes the way the vehicle tracks at speed.
Pickups spend their life between empty and fully loaded. Rear springs, bushes and clutch take the punishment, and most faults we see are load-related rather than mileage-related.
Passenger and cargo vans run long hours at high occupancy. Cooling, brakes, rear suspension and sliding-door hardware need shorter inspection intervals than the manufacturer's private-use schedule assumes.

Frequently asked
Do you have Volkswagen parts?
Parts are sourced as part of the repair we carry out, so we remain responsible for both the component and the fitting. Availability is confirmed before you bring the vehicle in.
